Deepika Padukone Reflects on Her Journey at WAVES 2025: “I Was Never Made to Feel Like an Outsider”:

Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Mumbai May 1: Actress Deepika Padukone discussed her journey during the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025 with her co-star Shah Rukh Khan. Karan Johar, offered moderating services along-side filmmaking for his newest initiative.

"Chak De! India" -SRK's movie, where Deepika was a model with little to no experience regarding industry workings excitedly started discussing an introduced character called Farah Khan. Deepika shared her side of feeling welcomed.

“I never felt like an outsider and my work ethic is something I could always control," Deepika stated firmly boosting her self esteem and self-portrait.

"I can't remember a newcomer being offered a double role," she laughing stated in reference to Om Shanti Om.

Khan began his speech gracefully but soon after could not contain himself and commented “The best role she’ll play now is that of a mother—with Dua." Khan, absolutely demolished Deepika, regarding acting while her and Ranveer Singh's daughter Dua will turn one in september dubbed the actress into saying.

Actress has done amazing, and Dua has been kept largely from cameras her lovely-self.

Recalling their initial joint effort, SRK remarked, “I treated her with respect on set because she was a minor—couldn’t reprimand children!” The two stars acted together later in Chennai Express, Pathaan, and Jawan, and are expected to come together in King, which is the Bollywood debut of Suhana Khan.

At the inauguration of WAVES 2025 Summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi told Indians the journey in cinema from Raja Harishchandra to RRR has been astounding. He also mentioned the contribution of the entertainment industry in projecting India’s identity to the world saying, “From Raja Harishchandra to Lagaan and beyond—our stories have reached the world.”

Modi also mentioned the impact of technology and innovation like VFX, AI, and others to the evolution of storytelling. As the headline suggests, the focus this summit is to bring together the creators, financers, and policy makers which will guide us throughout the next decade in the Indian entertainment.
