Cole Palmer was missing from the Blues' midfield during the Chelsea vs Arsenal game, which ended in a loss for Chelsea. Head coach Maresca Enzo offered his explanations on why Palmer wasn’t part of the match. Fortunately for the fans, Maresca mentioned that the issue with Palmer is not too troublesome and he should be available after the international break.

Palmer’s Most Admirable Timing: A Strong Contender Missing Once More At Emirates

The 21-year old youngster was included in the squad throughout the season and hence, his absence from the Emirates was felt. Curiously, his last five matches while missing a premier league game were against arsenal where Palmer witnessed his team losing 5-0.

Even though Palmer has not scored in his last seven league games, he still remains one of the best strikers Chelsea has. Following the match against Arsenal, the Chelsea FC midfielder topped the charts despite not scoring in his last seven goal matches. Palmer has always been a proactive goal contributor with 20 goals in the last 53 matches and defenders were welcoming assists as a common trend in the name of Palmer.

Maresca’s Explanation: “He Had A Little Issue”

“I’m sure he’s not in the restroom,\" Maresca quipped before going into detail, \"Last week, he had a small sickness issue, and sadly, he did have a very minor problem with training yesterday.”

Maresca was quick to address fans, assuring them that this wouldn’t sideline the player for long.

“Since it was a very light session we believe it’s nothing major, which is why we think he’s going to get cleared to play after the international break. But we will have to wait for further confirmation.”

Mauresca confirmed that Palmer would most likely miss England’s matches against Albania and Latvia. The rationale is that Palmer sustained an injury that will prevent him playing in the World Cup qualifiers.

\"I know he’s scheduled, but because he’s injured and didn’t play today, I disagreed with inclusion for being available for England duty,\” said Maresca about Palmer participating for England.

Staying Focused: The Period Marked by an Important Comeback

Palmer’s return after the international break will be crucial for the Chelsea squad as they try to recover from their latest loss. The Blues will be hoping that their key playmaker recovers completely so that he can help the team finish as strongly as possible in the Spurs game.

Barring any setbacks, Chelsea supporters can expect to see him soon, and it seems as though Maresca is confident that he will be back to work in the short term.
