Suspense crime, Digital Desk : The stringed brand BSA as well as motorcycles like Jawa and Yezdi are under the ownership of Classic Legends. According to the Co Founder Mr Anupam Thareja, the company is looking into aggressive growth strategies considering they wish to acheive these milestones by FY26: Launch four new models, double annual sales, and enter seven new international markets.
Thareja, while speaking to the media during the roundtable, stated that the company looks to build on existing products with an emphasis on polish as opposed to the previously taken approach where an engine capacity race was made the focus. In his own words, “I’m honestly sick and tired of the CC game. There’s a difference between putting out motorcycles and performing in real life conditions.”
With regard to product updates:
The addition of LED headlights along with Tailing LEDs coupled with ABS driven traction control having three modes were incorporated into the updated Yezdi adventure. The bike has also received an adjustmentable Windshield, and a remarkable 334CC liquid engine capable of producing 29.6 horse power alongside 29.9 Nm of torque.
Alongside all these changes, the ex showroom price stands at rupees 2,14,900 making the total value extremely justifiable in the eyes of consumers.
Threja stated that the primary focus was on existing products when it comes to adjusting the layering of gear shifters, units of suspension, and the feel of riding the bike itself.
Strengthening Core Segments:
Classic Legends currently offers:
Yezdi: Roadster, Scrambler, Adventure
Jawa: Five models
BSA: Two variants
The firm struggled in the initial years with product quality and service issues, but has made improvements. In FY25, Classic Legends sold 32,430 units. For FY26, the company is targeting a sales figure double that amount due to:
Increased dealer base from 350 to 500 before the festive season
Wider product line
Better targeting and positioning
Strategic pricing
Global Expansion Plans:
Classic Legends is exploring new export markets including:
Confirmed: US, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Middle East, Mexico
Exploring: Argentina, Prague
Although the U.S. launch was particularly hit by geopolitical tensions and tariff uncertainty delays, Classic Legends is committed to global growth. The India-UK FTA opened some avenues to BSA brand exports.
Classic Legends has now lowered its goal for exports to 20,000 units in FY26, down from 40,000. Thareja remarked, “We missed the season, but we’re not changing our plan.”
