The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has gone public stating that Union Minister Chirag Paswan is prepared for a bigger political responsibility in the politics of Bihar, with the assembly elections in the eastern state set to happen in the next six months.
Also Paswan’s brother-in-law and the Spokesperson of the Party and Member of Parliament Arun Bharti mentioned that the state is in need of a young leader with vast popularity and a sustainable development approach, which in his opinion is best suited to Paswan.
Development and Popularity of Different Social Groups
Bharti claims that the NDA is required to rethink its strategy in Bihar, focusing on the region's leadership in the alliance. He argues that Paswan offers leadership with grassroots through his appeal and acceptability transcending caste boundaries, rendering him a strong candidate for a senior position in the coalition.
Bharti while appreciating the Chief Minister for his achievements in certain sectors, criticized him for the fact that the state is lagging behind most other states in the country in terms of economic growth and requires new leadership for its next15-25 years of sustained economic growth.
Bharti concluding with “Bihar is on the verge of transformational development,” clarified the necessity of creative leadership for the growth of the state.
Greater Participation by LJP in NDA
Even though it is a native of NDA, the LJP (Ram Vilas) has not been on good terms with the JD(U). During the 2020 assembly elections, Paswan went as far as walking out of the NDA in Bihar while specifically targeting seats contested by the JD(U) which led to their numbers getting law significantly, even though his party only won one seat.
Regardless of public symphathy within NDA at this moment, Bharti’s comments suggest realignment of sorts, pretty much readying Pasawan for some form of leadership confrontation or a greater role in the subsequent elections.
In turn, he made clear the growing popularity of Paswan where, according to him, as many as 50,000 people turn up whenever he visits a city. This, in other words means he has very good public appeal.
Uncertainty Around Nitish Kumar’s Future
There controversies, alongside the BJP and NDA having reiterated their coalition support attending to Nanithish Kumar’s leadership, but the focal point of discussions have steered towards the condition and the future prospects of Bihar's oldest and longest serving Chief Minister seems to be steering into ripe waters.
This perspective gains special attention when coupled with Pasawan’s comments in the public domain of attending to bigger issues of control in the Bihar politics Open such comments are made under the impression LJP Ram Vilas the party is trying to force changes to the pecking order of the alliance ahead of the elections.
