Suspense crime, Digital Desk : The investigation into the horrific alleged rape of a Kolkata law student has taken a chilling new turn with the arrest of a fourth individual: a security guard employed by the main accused's family. The arrest adds a disturbing layer of alleged conspiracy to a case that has already shocked the nation.
The security guard, identified as Sanjeev Kumar Ram, was taken into custody by the Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate. According to police sources, Ram was not only present in the five-star hotel room during the brutal assault but allegedly played an active role. It is alleged that he helped the main accused, Anish Loharuka, by restraining the survivor, making him a direct accomplice to the crime.
This latest arrest deepens the investigation and follows the apprehension of the primary accused, Anish Loharuka, the son of a prominent hotelier. Loharuka is already in police custody facing charges of rape and grievous hurt. The two other individuals arrested earlier were associates of the main accused.
The case gained national attention after the survivor bravely detailed her harrowing ordeal in a viral social media post. Her account described a prolonged and violent assault, as well as threats against her and her family if she were to report the incident.
This new development further fuels public demands for a swift and thorough investigation to uncover the full extent of the crime and bring all those involved to justice. Authorities are continuing their probe to determine the precise role of each individual in the alleged assault.
