To fill in for Umran Malik, Kolkata Knight Riders have added left arm fast bowler Chetan Sakariya, who was previously with Delhi Capitals, for the upcoming IPL 2025 season. The defending champions are paying Sakariya 75 lakhs. Umran Malik, who was recently bought by the defending champions for 75 lakhs, was ruled out of the season due to an unspecified injury.
Sakariya, 27, came to KKR’s attention before the last season for the title winning season KKR is said to have spent 75 lakhs on him. However, the talented bowler was unable to play in any of the matches during the victorious campaign.
