She is a TV actress and businesswoman, Charu Asopa, who was previously wed to Sushmita Sen's sibling, Rajeev Sen. She has relocated along with her child Ziana Sen owing to a financial issue.
Charu Asopa is moving back to Bikaner, Rajasthan, her hometown, with her three-year-old Ziana. Charu posted a picture of her and her daughter on a train.
She captioned it, "New chapter of life begins."
Last week, a video of Charu selling a suit and salwar kameez went viral and it raised eyebrows together with her fans who were worried if all is fine with the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress.
Before moving to Bikaner, Charu spoke with the Hindustan Times and she confirmed that she has started selling clothes, “I have shifted to my hometown, Bikaner Rajasthan. I have left Mumbai for now. I am currently staying with my parents. Ziana and I moved here more than a month now,” she mentioned.
As for Charu’s reasons for leaving Mumbai, she said, “Mumbai is an expensive city and for me, its living costs exceeded Rs 1 lakh-1.5 lakh per month. This amount included rent and other expenses which were pretty difficult for me. Also, I would prefer to not leave Ziana with a nanny while I am busy shooting in Naigaon (Mumbai), which used to get extremely difficult. The intention behind the decision was completely planned, moving back home and starting my own thing was not a hasty decision.”
As far as trolls are concerned, the actress said, “Everyone goes through a rough phase when trying to launch something new. Why am I any different? I am completely hands-on for this one; I am personally receiving orders, stocking them, and sending them out. It wasn’t easy for me when I moved to Mumbai for acting either. It was tough to build a name for myself, but I did it. Now that I have my child, I have started this business and I don’t think it’s wrong.”
For the most part, Charu and ex-husband Rajeev Sen were the talk of the town during their much publicized divorce. The couple has a three-year-old daughter, Ziana.
While speaking of her ex-husband Rajeev Sen, Charu claimed, “He can always visit his daughter in Bikaner. Before leaving Mumbai, I sent him a text telling him about my plans.”
Charu said that none of her big projects required her presence in Mumbai, and her attention now is solely directed toward Ziana.
“I want to focus on Ziana. And I can shoot digital content from here, anyway. If travel is required for a shoot, the best part of being back home is that I can always leave Ziana with her grandparents instead of a nanny,” she answered the publication.
Charu said she intends to purchase a house in Bikaner but is currently living with her parents.
