Park Medi World Shares Trade Firm as Hospital Chain Announces Ambitious Expansion Plan to Reach 5,740 Beds by March 2028

Post

Shares of prominent private hospital chain Park Medi World demonstrated strong resilience on Monday morning, trading comfortably in positive territory even as benchmark equity indices like the Sensex and Nifty faced downward pressure amid renewed geopolitical tensions in West Asia and surging crude oil prices. The positive momentum came hot on the heels of a major corporate announcement outlining the company's aggressive capacity expansion roadmap.

Ambitious Roadmap to Reach 5,740 Beds by March 2028

Park Medi World revealed a strategic growth blueprint aimed at scaling its total operational capacity to 5,740 beds by March 2028. This expansion will be fueled by adding 1,450 new beds through a balanced combination of ongoing greenfield and brownfield projects.

Operating under the well-known "Park Hospitals" brand, the company currently stands as the second-largest private hospital chain across North India, boasting 17 operational facilities and 4,290 beds spread over six states. Management noted that their strategic growth relies on a mix of greenfield developments for long-term regional positioning and targeted acquisitions that allow for rapid market entry. A prime example is their recent all-cash acquisition of Mehar Hospital in Zirakpur for ₹107 crore, a move designed to fortify their multi-super speciality footprint across the high-potential Tricity region of Mohali, Chandigarh, and Panchkula.

Strong Intraday Performance and Robust Technical Indicators

Opening the trading session at ₹290.80—marking a 0.25 percent uptick from its previous close of ₹290.05 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE)—the stock touched an intraday high of ₹290.85. Sustained buying interest kept the counter trading in the green with a market capitalization of ₹12,437.45 crore.

Technical analysts pointed out that the stock's underlying structure remains exceptionally strong. The counter currently trades well above all key moving averages, including the 5-day, 20-day, 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day lines, reflecting solid institutional backing. Over the past year, the stock has traded within a 52-week range of a high of ₹305.25 and a low of ₹138.15.

Impressive Financial Growth in FY 2025–26 Annual Report

The bullish market sentiment was further reinforced by the release of Park Medi World's Annual Report for FY 2025–26, which showcased stellar financial performance. The company registered a robust 20.5 percent year-on-year surge in consolidated operating revenue, climbing to ₹1,679.40 crore compared to ₹1,393.60 crore in the previous fiscal year.

Meanwhile, net profit after tax (PAT) jumped an impressive 27 percent to reach ₹273.60 crore, up from ₹215.40 crore in FY 2024–25. Management attributed this profitability leap to higher bed occupancy rates, effective debt reduction utilizing initial public offering (IPO) proceeds, and a strategic pivot toward higher-margin, high-acuity medical specialities.
