Patna. The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released new dates for the Assistant Education Development Officer (AEDO) written exam for 2026. The recruitment exam was originally scheduled for January, but it will now be held in April 2026, giving candidates additional time to prepare.

New schedule and conduct of the examination

BPSC has now scheduled to conduct the AEDO exam on 14th, 15th, 17th, 18th, 20th and 21st April 2026 at various centres.

This change has been made in accordance with the Commission's official notification to facilitate the smooth conduct of the competitive examination. Candidates are advised to check the Commission's website periodically for updates.

AEDO Recruitment: Vacancy and Application Details

The BPSC is recruiting for a total of 935 AEDO positions. Applications for these positions were already open, and candidates filled their forms within the stipulated timeframe.

 

The recruitment process includes written examination, document verification and selection based on merit list.

As the exam is now going to be held in April, candidates are advised to maintain consistency in their preparation.

The exam will include questions based on topics such as general language, general studies, and general aptitude. Candidates can strengthen their preparation by practicing the AEDO exam syllabus and previous question papers.

The commission will release the admit card a few days before the exam, which needs to be downloaded from the official BPSC portal.
