Engineered for Thrill: Powerful Boxer Twin Engine

A liquid-cooled twin-cylinder boxer engine sits in the center of the core with a staggering 145bhp at 7,750rpm, alongside 149Nm of torque at 6,500rpms. What excites this beast is the 1,300cc attached to a six-speed transmission with a baseline quickshifter. If comfort is your expectation, it can easily be integrated with the BMW Automated Shift Assist that allows gear selection without spinning a clutch.

Ride Modes to Match Every Mood

For every riders need, BMW strategically provides a selection of three transitioning ride modes: Eco Restrictions, Road Bound, and Rain Guard. If a more dynamic performance is desired, the optional Dynamic and Dynamic Pro aggressively output advanced throttle intake alongside violence on power delivery.

Built with Precision: Frame And Suspension

BMW has redesigned the R 1300 R’s chassis. It now includes a new sheet metal frame with a lightweight cast aluminum sub-frame which improves handling and stiffness. The suspension features include a 47mm USD fork at the front and the advanced rear unit Paralever EVO, which guarantees great stability and comfort at speed or over uneven surfaces.

Rivaling the Best in Its Class

With the expected unveiling of the BMW R 1300 R later this year, it aims to set brace itself against the stiff competition posed by the likes of Ducati Streetfighter V2.
