Suspense Crime, Digital Desk : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has taken issue with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who called Lord Ram a “mythical” character during a discussion at Brown University in the United States. Gandhi said this while responding to a query about secularism alongside Hindu nationalism.

Shehzad Poonawalla Calls Out Gandhi For Ram Drohi Comments
Gandhi has come under fire from BJP’s Shehzad Poonawalla who accused him of committing the offense of disrespecting Lord Ram by calling him “Drohi Ram”. Poonawalla claimed these comments were in line with Congress party’s past decisions while opposing the building of Ram Mandir.
“Rahul Gandhi says Prabhu Ram is mythological or kalpanik. This is why they opposed the Ram Mandir and doubted Ram's existence,” he stated.
In his speech, Rahul defended his take on Hinduism as more wide ranging than only bigotry, violence and exclusion. He added that Buddhism, Sikhism and even Hinduism, through figures like Gandhi and Ambedkar, celebrate compassion.
He reasoned that hatred and anger, as the quote suggests, come derived from fear which means, followers of Hinduism, for all their righteous deeds cannot be passive or antagonistic by default ought to be welcoming.
