Ahead of the crucial electoral battles in 2026, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has completed a whirlwind 'Samriddhi Yatra,' signaling a massive developmental push across the state. In a span of just 24 days, the Chief Minister addressed 35 public rallies, covering almost every major district and inaugurating projects worth a staggering ₹15,498 crore.

A Multi-Sector Developmental Bonanza

The projects launched during this yatra span across various sectors, including rural roads, healthcare, education, and irrigation. Key highlights include:

Infrastructure: Foundation stones for new bridges and overpasses worth over ₹6,000 crore to enhance regional connectivity.

Healthcare: Upgradation of several district hospitals into multi-specialty centers.

Agriculture: New irrigation schemes aimed at benefiting farmers in the drought-prone belts of South Bihar.

"Development is Our Answer": CM Nitish

During his final rally of the yatra, Nitish Kumar emphasized his government's commitment to "Justice with Development." He stated that the 'Samriddhi Yatra' was not just a political tour but a medium to directly connect with the grassroots and ensure that government schemes are reaching the last person in the queue. He took several potshots at the opposition, claiming that while others focus on "rhetoric," his administration focuses on "results."

Strategic Timing Before 2026 Polls

Political analysts view this high-octane yatra as a strategic move to consolidate the NDA's position in Bihar. By launching large-scale projects just before the election cycle heats up, the JD(U) leader aims to reinforce his image as 'Vikas Purush' (Development Man) and counter the aggressive campaigning of the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan.
