It appears that India’s fan favorite reality shows - Khatron Ke Khiladi and Bigg Boss - may soon move networks. Reports claim that Banijay asia has stepped away from both projects which is sparking conversation on moving the shows from Colors TV to Sony Entertainment Television.

Color TV being the channel’s issue, this step was necessary. The production house that previously held fifty percent of equity in both shows had to relinquish their shares owing to unresolved creative differences on Bigg Boss with the channel. This exit prompted a reevaluation of broadcasting rights wherein Sony TV seems to be the frontrunner for hosting the upcoming seasons.

With the exit of Banijay Asia, the future of the two shows appear to be in disarray without a concrete timeline for the production phases. There are rumors that many celebrity contestants who had signed on are no longer bound to appear in the new seasons which in turn is in effect postponing the deadlines of the new season's celebrity contestant roster.

Prospective Participants for Khatron Ke Khiladi 15

Production for Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 15 had been planning to kick off in May, at an internationally renowned hotspot for filming elaborate stunts. As reported by Zoom and Telly Talk India, some of the celebrities who were nearly signed on for the show included:

Avinash Mishra

Isha Malviya

Munawar Faruqui

Orry

Khushboo Patani (sister to the famous actress, Disha Patani)

Neeraj Goyat (professional boxer)

We still need to wait and see if this will be the case or not.

For the Time Being, Hosts Remain the Same

As of now, there has been no announcement regarding the continuity of Salman Khan (the host for Bigg Boss) and Rohit Shetty (the host for Khatron Ke Khiladi) at the new network. Although, considering their marketing value for the franchises, the producers will most likely keep them on to retain viewership.
