Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Baroda BNP Paribas Mutual Fund has announced the launch of its new thematic fund, the Baroda BNP Paribas Health and Wellness Fund. This open-ended equity scheme, which will invest in companies across the healthcare and wellness sectors, is open for subscription during its New Fund Offer (NFO) period from June 7 to June 21, 2024.

Making it accessible to a wide range of investors, the fund allows for a minimum lump-sum investment of ₹1,000. For those preferring a disciplined approach, Systematic Investment Plans (SIPs) can be started with as little as ₹500 per month, with subsequent investments in multiples of ₹1.

Suresh Soni, CEO of Baroda BNP Paribas AMC, highlighted the immense growth potential of India's healthcare industry. "The Indian healthcare sector is on a strong growth trajectory," he stated. "This growth is fueled by increasing health consciousness, rising disposable incomes, greater penetration of health insurance, and supportive government policies."

The fund aims to capitalize on this trend by investing in a diverse portfolio including pharmaceuticals, hospitals, diagnostics, medical equipment, and health insurance companies. Soni also noted that the healthcare sector is considered defensive, often remaining resilient during economic downturns, which can provide stability to an investment portfolio.

The Baroda BNP Paribas Health and Wellness Fund offers a strategic opportunity for investors to participate in the long-term structural growth story of one of India's most vital sectors. The fund will be managed by Pratish Krishnan and will be benchmarked against the S&P BSE Healthcare Total Return Index (TRI).
