May 3rd is the First Saturday of May - Banks Remain Open: According to the Bank of India regulations, Banks remain closed only on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month. This means all private and government banks will have operations on weekdays where they have more than 2 Saturdays. Hence on the 3rd of May, Banks Will Remain Operational.

May 16 (Friday): State Day - Bank Holiday in Gangtok.
May 26 (Monday): Kazi Nazrul Islam Jayanti - Bank Holiday in Agartala.
May 29 (Thursday): Maharana Pratap Jayanti - Bank Holidays in Shimla.
Also, due to holidays, banks will remain closed in May due to the regular weekly holiday. This will be closed on every Sunday, that is, 4, 11, 18, and 25 May will be observed as holidays. In addition, during the month, banks will be closed on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays on the 10th and 24th.
The stock markets will also be closed on May 1st.
The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) will also close on the holiday on May 1 Maharashtra Day since both have their head office in Mumbai.
Will online banking services be available?
Yes, customers can, during these holidays also, transact money, pay bills, and through UPI, IMPS, net banking and mobile banking apps, digital services can be utilized. However, bank branches will not function, so customers are advised to complete important tasks in advance so that there is no problem.
