A cryptic tweet by Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan drew backlash after a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, killed over 26 people. Only stating, “T 5356 -,” the tweet left a multitude of followers both perplexed and angry due to the lack of context.

Diehard Fans While Afire Condemnation and Add Requests

Even though some assume it to be routine sequence in the tweet-numbering tradition, numerous users are taking offense to the lack of public condemnation and response to suffering. Multiple accounts beseeched the learned actor to express at least the bare minimum support for the victims.

“Do not quote me but I feel silence is a lot, Amit Ji,” adds one user in Hindi.

“Hasn’t posted even one snippet on the chilling events that went down in Kashmir?” asks another.

“Sir, you are the senior most actor in the industry. Why not speak out or condemn the dreadful attack?” is the reaction of many.

The lack of any statement from the actor snowballed into overwhelming outrage as many believe celebrities should be obligated to comment on citizens fatal national concerns.

Bollywood’s Comments Regarding the Pahalgam Attack  

Unlike other reactions, some Bollywood stars publicly opposed the attack and extended sympathies.  

As Akshay Kumar put it in a tweet, "Horrified to know of the terror attack on tourists in Pahalgam. Sheer evil to kill innocent people like this. Prayers for their families."  

In the words of Sonu Sood, “I strongly condemn the cowardly terrorist attack on innocent tourists… This dastardly act is unacceptable. My deepest condolences… Om Sai Ram.”  

Raveena Tandon stated, "Om Shanti. Condolences. Shocked and angry. No words to express the anguish… It’s about time we all come together and understand who the actual enemy is.”  

These comments were widely praised and reshared by the public, showcasing a difference in reactions from various public figures.
