London: Amid the massive protests and turmoil going on in Britain, the Indian Navy’s warship INS Tabar has reached London. On the instructions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this warship reached Britain, where its crew was welcomed in the River Thames. Let us tell you that many members of the Indian community gathered on the banks of the River Thames to welcome ‘INS Tabar’ and witnessed the grand scene of the iconic Tower Bridge’s dynamic lever being raised to allow the warship to pass on its four-day visit to Britain.

INS Tabar on Wednesday docked at HMS Belfast (a WWII warship now operated by the Imperial War Museum on the Thames) as part of a planned series of professional interactions between the Indian Army and the Royal Navy. INS Tabar is a stealth warship (frigate class) built in Russia for the Indian Navy, commanded by Captain M.R. Harish, and has a complement of around 280 personnel.

PM Modi’s sentiment is ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’

The Defense Ministry said in a statement that the team of INS Tabar will also provide community service to retired pensioners of the Royal Army in old age homes, highlighting the ideology of ‘Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam’ of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The ship is equipped with a variety of weapons and sensors and is one of the oldest stealth warships of the Indian Navy. The ship is part of the Western Fleet of the Indian Navy.
