Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Rai is facing criticism after showcasing a toy Rafale jet garnished with lemon and chili as part of satire directed towards the Central government’s policies on terrorism. The remarks were made in light of the Pahalgam terror attack, which the government labeled as ‘bloodbath on tourism’ after 26 tourists were killed.

Rai purportedly attempted to ‘open the eyes of the government’ was challenged by BJP and Shiv Sena leaders who lambasted the Congress party for undermining the could of India.

In an interview responding to the debate, Rai noted:

“The moment has come to respond to those who orchestrated the attack in Pahalgam. It’s like saying, when the defence minister was coming to pick up the Rafale with lemon-chili on it, she was told to get rid of that. I wanted to portray that sentiment and call attention to what the people want, decisive action against terrorism.’

Rai pointed out that the government should have forced terrorists and their supporters.
