7 injured including 2 children
Seven people, including two children, were injured in jackal attacks in two villages of Jahanabad police station area of Pilibhit district on Saturday. The attack took place in Suswar and Pansoli villages of Jahanabad police station area, in which five men and two children aged 9 and 3 years were injured.
Villagers were scared of a jackal attack
People seriously injured by the jackal attack were taken to the nearest hospital for treatment. Where they were admitted and treated. The villagers are scared due to the jackal attack. Till now the villagers used to live in fear of tigers, but now jackals have also started attacking humans.
First, it was suspected that the monkeys had attacked
On this matter, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Manish Singh said that earlier some villagers had claimed that the attack was done by a pack of wolves, but later it was confirmed that the attack was done by a jackal.
The Forest department team reached the spot
According to forest officials, the attack took place when the villagers were going towards the fields in the morniUpon. On receiving information about the incident, police and administration officials and a team from the forest department reached the spot and investigated the matter.
MP Jitin Prasad spoke to the villagers
The DFO said that the forest department is on alert given the incident. Pilibhit MP Jitin Prasad also spoke to the local people about the incident over the phone.
