The film ‘Major’, with Adivi Sesh and Saiee M Manjrekar in leading roles, is internationally recognized and will be shown in Japan in a first-of-its-kind screening for Japanese audiences. The screening will take place on April 29, 2025, between 2:00 pm and 4:50 pm. The film will be screened free of charge; however, audience registration is a prerequisite to enjoy the movie with Japanese subtitles.

Adivi Sesh joyously announced the news on his X (formerly Twitter) account and highlighted the enduring global acclaim of the film, showcasing how it has been receiving international love since its inception.

‘Major’ showcases the life story of one of India’s greatest heroes, Sandeep Unnikrishnan, an Indian army officer who laid down his life during the Mumbai terror attacks on November 26, 2008, while selflessly rescuing civilians. The film is a tribute to his bravery, the sacrifice that he made for India, and the unwavering national spirit that we hold dear as citizens is watched as one of the greatest examples of bravery.

Adivi Sesh plays the leading role while Saiee M Manjrekar takes up the role of his wife. As a woman of young love, her strength in supporting and sacrificing makes her achingly empathetic and is often accompanied by tears.
