Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Actor Makarand Deshpande staged a non-violent protest in Mumbai on Sunday, April 27, 2025, to respond to the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir that occurred on April 22. The attack shocked the nation and resulted in widespread anguish and grief, and solidarity for the nation’s loss.

Bollywood Stands United Against Violence.

Deshpande, dressed in white as a sign of mourning, was accompanied with supporters who had posters with messages that read “Ek Desh Ek Dhadkan” and “United We Stand Hand in Hand.” In an interview with the media, Deshpande stressed patriotism in condemning the attack and supporting the government’s moves post the disaster.

Atul Kulkarni Visits Kashmir to Show Support.

Actor Atul Kulkarni also expressed deep sorrow over the attack. He criticized the tourists cancelling bookings to the site of the attack, on the grounds that it was meant to instill fear. Kulkarni, however, hoped to change that idea. He chose to travel to Kashmir himself to send out a message of hope.With regard to Kulkarni, “With every tragedy, we either post or talk, but I wanted to do something. My coming here shows that Kashmir is ours.”

As for Pahalgam attack, it was on the 22nd of April 2023 when the tragedy occurred around 2:30 in the afternoon where 26 people were victimized starting with a newly wedded Navy officer and Intelligence Bureau personnel and forwarded with two foreign nationals from UAE and Nepal along with two civs locals followed by many more. This incident has brought together citizens all over India to mourn and gather resolve.  

So bolywood actors include Aky Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Vijay Deverakonda have been among the first actors to strongly condemn the attack. They have used their anger at this in that it fuels much needed national cohesion against terrorism.
