Netmarble, the company behind the new action role-playing game, has released a demo version of Game of Thrones: Kingsroad on Valve's Steam. The demo can be accessed until 3rd March, 2025, because it is a part of the titles that are scheduled to be launched on the platform for Steam Next Fest.
The demo offers a preview of Netmarble's third-person action RPG set in Westeros. You will be able to visit places that were described in the fantasy novel series written by George RR Martin and the HBO television series like The Wall and Winterfell, allowing players to get a glimpse of what they'll be able to experience in the actual game. In addition, players are also encouraged to participate in special events, where they can earn bonus in-game rewards.
Netmarble has recently rolled out an update that brought new changes to Game of Thrones Kingsroad demo. These include new bug fixes, game optimisations, and the now-roll feature dubbed ‘Seamless Access via Steam’. A streamlined Steam login feature means that players will no longer need to create an account with Netmarble to play the demo; all that is required is a Steam account. As for bug fixes and game optimization, Netmarble said in a Steam post that they “are actively identifying and addressing various minor issues to enhance stability and gameplay” in Game of Thrones Kingsroad demo.
Game of Thrones Kingsroad: Demo events and rewards
Players of the Game of Thrones Kingsroad demo can take part in several event activities:
Check-in bonuses: Players need to login on five consecutive days to receive rewards.
Milestone bonuses: Some rewards can be obtained after defeating key foes such as Stel or completing various major quest milestones.
Exploration bonuses: Rewards can be received by eliminating hostile hideouts, tracking beasts, and completing the Echoes of the Past questline. Game of Thrones Kingsroad: Support for other languages will be added “While the demo now contains five languages, more will be added at full release," Netmarble explained in the Steam post. The South Korean developer did add that it was “keeping a close watch on responses from players during the demo period,” so that “it would be ready to make adjustments as needed.” Game of Thrones Kingsroad: Release timeline The developers from Netmarble plan to launch Game of Thrones: Kingsroad on PC, Android, and iOS in the second quarter of 2025. Exact date for the release of the Game of Thrones RPG has not been set.
