A case has been registered against the leader of a religious conversion racket that was operating in UP under the guise of a healing meeting
Suspense Crime, Digital Desk : In Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh, another incident of alluring and forcibly converting poor Hindu families to Christianity has come to the fore. After Hindu families were forcibly converted by citing the Bible, Hindu activists created a ruckus, stopped the conversion process and filed a case. This entire incident occurred in Ghazipur town where conversions were taking place under the guise of a healing meeting.
Police arrive and investigate
Upon receiving information about this event, activists of the Bajrang Dal approached the police. Police reached the spot, investigated the matter and retrieved religious literature and Bibles from the location. It is claimed that 30 to 35 poor Hindu families were enticed into converting to Christianity. The police have registered a case against the chief culprit Suraj Gupta under Sections 3 and 5(1) of the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Religious Conversion Act.
More action will be taken on the basis of investigation - police
The police are investigating the entire case and looking into the roles of others involved. Ghazipur SHO stated that action will be taken after a detailed investigation into the incident. Hindu organization leader Dharmendra Singh Jansevak has said that Christian missionaries are converting many people to Christianity in villages by poisoning the minds of people using the Bible. It is said that so far thousands of people in the district have been persuaded and converted by missionaries of this order, of which the action taken earlier was very serious and widely reported.
