36 killed in massive factory fire in China’s Henan
A massive fire broke out in a company located in Henan province of China. 36 people died in this fire. The local government said in a statement on Tuesday that two people were injured in the incident while two others were missing. The company that caught fire was manufacturing chemicals and other industrial goods.
According to the Wenfang district government, the fire broke out at around 4 pm on Monday and firefighters brought it under control after about four hours of hard work. Over 200 rescue workers have been deployed at the spot. Services of 60 fire brigade personnel were also taken. No information has yet been given about the cause of the fire and the death of some employees of the company in the accident. However, due to increased competition and corruption in China, lapses in security measures have become commonplace.
