Congress workers demonstrated in collectorate on fertilizer shortage

Meerut, 24 November (Hindustan Times). On Thursday, Congress workers demonstrated at the collectorate on the shortage of fertilizers. By sending a memorandum to the governor, he raised the demand to remove the shortage of fertilizers and DAP being faced by the farmers.

Congress workers under the leadership of District President Avneesh Kajla and City President Zahid Ansari reached the collectorate on Thursday and demonstrated. By sending a memorandum to UP Governor Anandi Ben Patel through the District Magistrate, he demanded to remove the shortage of fertilizers, fertilizers and DAP being faced by the farmers.

He said that farmers are not getting manure, fertilizers, DAP for sowing rabi crops. Farmers should be provided relief by solving this serious problem. Farmers are already facing financial difficulties. The Chief Minister of the state has already been informed about the problem of acute shortage of fertilizers for sowing Rabi crops in the state, but the state government and the administration have failed to fulfill their responsibility. Farmers are standing in long queues at the godowns of cooperative societies even to get just one bag of fertilizer. At the local level, the government officials are only giving empty assurances of quick solution to this problem. While the Union Ministry of Fertilizers has claimed that there is abundant stock of DAP fertilizer for the current Rabi crop in the country and the state. It is clear from this that the situation of shortage of manure, fertilizers, DAP has been deliberately created for the farmers, so that the middlemen get benefited. The Congress workers demanded from the Governor that in view of the economic condition of the farmers, the fertilizer problem should be resolved immediately.

On this occasion, spokesperson Harikishan Ambedkar, Pandit Navneet Nagar, Salim Pathan, Reena Sharma, Mohit Sangwan, Tanveer Elahi, Sumit Vikal, Tejveer Singh, Parvinder Ishu, Naeem Rana, Rustum Saifi, Afzal Ahmed, KD Sharma, Harish Tyagi, Naresh Negi, Wasim Ansari, Dr. Sarfaraz Ahmed, Sarfaraz Ansari, Shuaib Sabri, Furkan Ansari etc. were present.
