At least 10 devotees traveling to Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj lost their lives when their car collided with a bus.
The tragic accident occurred late Friday night on the Prayagraj-Mirzapur highway under the jurisdiction of PS Meja. The victims were traveling from Chhattisgarh to attend the religious gathering when the unfortunate incident took place.
Authorities have taken the bodies to Swaroop Rani Medical Hospital for post-mortem examinations. "The further process is still underway," confirmed DCP Yamunanagar, Vivek Chandra Yadav.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the accident, and officials are working to assist the affected families.
