The Indian stock market opened with gains on Thursday. The Bombay Stock Exchange index Sensex opened with a gain of 150 points at 78,657.52 today. In the early trade, it was seen trading at 78,791 with a gain of 278 points. In the early trade, out of the 30 Sensex stocks, 23 stocks were seen trading in the green and 7 in the red. On the other hand, the National Stock Exchange index Nifty was seen trading at 23,816 today with a gain of 0.31 percent or 73 points. In the early trade, out of the 50 Nifty stocks, 32 stocks were seen trading in the green, 17 in the red and one stock was seen trading without any change.

 

Condition of Nifty shares

Among the Nifty pack stocks, the biggest gainers were Bajaj Finance (3.12%), Bajaj Finserv (1.95%), Kotak Bank (1.64%), ONGC (1.44%) and Infosys (1.41%). On the other hand, the biggest losers were NTPC (0.82%), Britannia (0.75%), Sun Pharma (0.70%), Tata Consumer (0.54%) and Adani Enterprises (0.49%).

Status of sectoral indices

Talking about sectoral indices, the highest rise was recorded in Nifty Financial Services ex-Bank by 1.06 percent. Apart from this, Nifty Midsmall IT & Telecom rose by 0.51 percent, Nifty Midsmall Financial Services by 0.22 percent, Nifty Oil & Gas by 0.18 percent, Nifty Private Bank by 0.30 percent, Nifty Media by 0.13 percent, Nifty IT by 0.98 percent, Nifty Auto by 0.35 percent and Nifty Bank by 0.09 percent. Apart from this, Nifty FMCG fell by 0.03 percent, Nifty Metal by 0.01 percent, Nifty Pharma by 0.51 percent, Nifty PSU Bank by 0.26 percent, Nifty Realty by 0.30 percent, Nifty Healthcare Index by 0.49 percent, Nifty Consumer Durables by 0.20 percent and Nifty Midsmall Healthcare by 0.34 percent.
