Rahul-Jadeja stood firm
Captain Hardik Pandya played some good shots and along with KL Rahul tried to handle the innings. Both also shared a 44-run partnership, but in the 20th over, Marcus Stoinis dismissed Pandya and put India on the back foot again. From here Rahul got the support of Ravindra Jadeja. Playing very carefully, both the batsmen slowly brought the team closer to victory. During this, Rahul completed his 13th half-century. In the 40th over, Jadeja gave the team victory by hitting 2 fours. There was a partnership of 108 runs between Rahul and Jadeja.
Marsh’s strong start
Talking about Australia’s innings, it was divided into two parts. Before and after the 20th over. In the absence of David Warner, Marsh was dropped for the opening. Despite the dismissal of Travis Head in the second over itself, Marsh continued his batting and kept Australia in a good position. Then Ravindra Jadeja made Marsh his victim in the 20th over. By this time Australia’s score was 129 runs.
