Today’s thrilling battle between RR-LSG for the playoffs

Lucknow Super Giants, who have been in terrific form throughout the season, will look to lose their place in the play-offs to cement their place in the play-offs with a win over Rajasthan Royals on Sunday. Lokesh Rahul’s team, which is at the top of the points table with four consecutive wins, has slipped to second place after losing its top spot in the last match against Gujarat. Lucknow are second with 16 points and will not try to lose a single one before the play-offs. If Lucknow team wins then its place in playoff will be decided. If the Sanju Samson-led side wins, it will take one more step towards a place in the last four. Captain Rahul and Quinton de Kock will once again have to play a big innings for the Lucknow team. Both were dismissed cheaply against Gujarat and both will be hoping for a big partnership against Rajasthan. Rahul is the second most successful batsman in the league with 459 runs in 12 matches and has scored two centuries so far. De Kock has also scored a total of 355 runs with three half-centuries.

Rajasthan team will once again expect an explosive and big innings on Englishman Jos Buttler. He has scored 625 runs with three centuries and three half-centuries. Sanju Samson has scored 327 runs. Rajasthan is relieved to be back in Padikkal form. Ashwin would like to capitalize on his ability as a batsman. Leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal will be the mainstay to keep Rahul and de Kock under control. He is backed by off-spinner Ashwin, fast bowler Trent Boult and famous Krishna.
