According to a report by Bollywood Shaadis, Ranveer and Nikki have unfollowed each other on Instagram, leading to speculation that they have broken up. Fans have been actively discussing this online, but Ranveer has yet to issue an official statement.
This development comes at a time when Ranveer is already facing significant backlash on social media. His involvement in the ongoing controversy surrounding India’s Got Talent has further amplified discussions about his personal life.
Did Ranveer’s Breakup Stem from the Controversy?
On Samay Raina's show, a contestant was subjected to an inappropriate question involving private body parts and an affair proposal in exchange for ₹2 crore. The situation escalated when Samay later asked another highly offensive question about the contestant’s parents.
As the backlash grew, Samay deleted all video clips from social media and issued an apology. However, the damage had already been done, and the controversy continued to spread.
FIR Filed Against Show Judges
Following the public outcry, a police complaint (FIR) was filed against Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, and other judges, including Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Makhija. The complaint alleges that they promoted obscene and immoral content on the show. Legal action has been requested under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code (BNS).
In response to the growing controversy, Ranveer released an apology video on social media.
Ranveer Allahbadia Issues Public Apology
Ranveer addressed the controversy, saying:
"My comment was not only wrong but also not funny. Comedy is not my genre. I have come here only to apologize. Many people asked me if I want to use my platform like this? And frankly, my answer is no. I will not give any clarification or explanation, just apologizing."
Despite his apology, public outrage continues, with many calling for strict action against all those involved. It remains to be seen what legal consequences may follow in this matter.
