
Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a religious worship offering at Triveni Sangam during the running Mahakumbh 2025 at Prayagraj Uttar Pradesh while wearing a saffron-colored jacket and blue trackpants after having a sacred river immersion.
The Prime Minister accompanied Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for a boat voyage through the Yamuna River upon landing at Prayagraj. The honorable Prime Minister was present in a saffron-colored jacket together with blue trackpant.

PM Modi dedicates time to prayer at Sangam while the Mahakumbh 2025 spiritual and cultural event entered its first phase of Paush Purnima on January 13, 2025 to become the largest religious meeting worldwide offering participation from international devotees. The Mahakumbh festival will proceed through until the ceremonial occasion of Mahashivratri on February 26.
Pursuant to his dedication toward maintaining both India's cultural heritage and spiritual relics the prime minister continues to actively build up facilities at pilgrimage sites.
The Prime Minister performed sacred rituals at Sangam during his attendance at Mahakumbh 2025.
During his December 13, 2024 Prayagraj visit Prime Minister Modi initiated 167 development projects worth Rs 5,500 crore which enhanced facilities and connectivity systems for citizens.
As a part of his prayers at Sangam Prime Minister Modi performed worship.
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju made a sacred dip at Prayagraj Mahakumbh Triveni Sangam on Wednesday before asking people to avoid politicizing this historic event.
He shared a video on X while he stated that the once-144-year Maha Kumbh happens only in multiple centuries. Politics should not be allowed during this majestic religious event. The opportunity to bathe at the sacred Triveni Sangam brought me immense fortune. The entire population must adhere to established guidelines since Maha Kumbh attracts an unexpected excessive number of participants. #Mahakumbh".
By 8 am on Wednesday 3.748 million pilgrims had taken the holy bath in the Ganga-Yamuna-Saraswati confluence making the religious atmosphere more intense during the grand religious gathering. More than 10 lakh Kalpvasis and 2.748 million pilgrims arrived early for their spiritual blessings.
