A 15-year-old student from Class 9 has been taken into custody for allegedly sending fake bomb threat emails to four schools in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, police reported on Thursday (February 6). The student used Virtual Private Network (VPN) technology to mask his location and IP address in an attempt to avoid attending school.

Schools Targeted in the Hoax

The bomb threat emails were sent around 12:30 AM on Wednesday (February 5) to the following schools:

  • Step By Step School
  • The Heritage School
  • Gyanshree School
  • Mayoor School

Upon receiving the email, school administrators immediately alerted the police.

Emergency Response and Investigation

Noida Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Ram Badan Singh stated that as soon as authorities were informed, police teams, the fire brigade, a bomb squad, a dog squad, and the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) were dispatched to the schools.

For safety reasons, all schools were evacuated and thoroughly checked, but no suspicious items were found. Once the premises were deemed safe, classes resumed as usual.
