Weather Update: The next 12 hours are not easy, there will be record-breaking rain in these states including UP with thunder and lightning

New Delhi: The month of August is considered to be a season of festivals as well as monsoon rains, in which torrential rains are visible. Due to incessant rains, the situation is getting so bad that flood situation is prevailing in many states of the country. Heavy rain and thundershowers were recorded in many parts of North India late in the night.

Now the rivers, drains and ponds are full of water due to rain. Floods have made life miserable in the northeastern states as some rivers are in spate. The situation in southern India is also getting worse. Delhi NCR received torrential rains on the previous day, bringing down the temperature significantly. Since this morning, dark clouds have camped in the sky. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of heavy rain in many states across the country.

  • There will be heavy rain in these parts

Rain warning has been issued in Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh in the next few hours. A rain alert has also been issued in western Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana. Heavy rain has been warned in Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Konkan and Goa during August 6 to 9.

Madhya Pradesh and Saurashtra may see heavy rains on August 8 and 9. Heavy rain is expected between August 7 and 9. Heavy rain alert has been issued in Telangana, Coastal and North Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Kerala from August 6 to 9. For western UP, continuous rain can be seen for the next 48 hours i.e. 6th and 7th August.

  • There will be heavy rain here too

According to the IMD, a warning of heavy rain has been issued in Gujarat on August 9. On the other hand, there is a possibility of torrential rains on August 8 and 9 for Chhattisgarh, some parts of Maharashtra, Konkan and Goa. West Bengal, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh will also see rain today and tomorrow.
