Ingredients for Potato Pakora
3 medium potatoes
200 ml water
1/2 tsp ajwain
salt as required
100 grams gram flour (gram flour)
1/2 tsp cumin
1 tsp red chili powder
1 Refined oil as required
How to make Potato Pakoras
1 potato washed and cut
Wash the potatoes and cut them into thin round slices.
2 Prepare the Batter
Take gram flour in a bowl and gradually add water to it and make a smooth paste. The batter should neither be too thick nor too thin.
Add 3 spices and dip the potato slices in the batter
Add cumin, carom seeds, red chilli powder and salt and mix well. Check the seasoning and adjust according to taste. After this, add potato slices to this batter and coat it well.
4 Heat the oil and fry the potato slices coated in the batter till they turn golden
Take a deep fry pan and add oil to it. Let the oil heat for some time and when you feel that the oil has become hot enough, then dip the slices one by one and as soon as the potato slices turn golden yellow in color from both the sides, take them out in a tissue plate.
