Case registered against unknown people for insulting Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji in Manman village

Tarn Taran: In the case of insulting Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji in village Manan, the police of Tarn Taran’s Jhabal police station have registered a case against unknown people. In the application given to the police, Kabal Singh’s son Mahabir Singh Manman said that his wife is the present sarpanch of the village. Gurmeet Singh s/o Subeg Singh r/o Cheema Khurd serves as Pradhan Granthi in our village Gurdwara Guru Nanak Dev Ji Sahib.

After the death of Saranjit Kaur of our village, the effigy of Sri Guru Granth Sahib along with Akhand Path Sahib was taken from the said Gurudara Sahib to the house of Harbhaj Singh. Where during Akhand Path Sahib some parts of Sri Guru Granth Sahib were desecrated by Pathi Singhs which was already done by some mischievous elements. Acting on this, the police have registered a case against unknown persons under Section 295-A, Case No. 33/23.

Let us tell you that a few days before this, a person tried to desecrate Sri Guru Granth Sahib in Gurdwara Sahib of Khudian village of Long Assembly Constituency of Sri Muktsar Sahib. A person has insulted Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji with a stick in his hand. After the video went viral, senior police officers reached the spot and took action.
