New Delhi: Sharad Pawar met Uddhav Thackeray: NCP President Sharad Pawar has met Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray amid the ongoing political battle in Maharashtra. During the sources, Sharad Pawar advised that if militancy is to be reduced, then a decision should be taken to make Eknath Shinde the Chief Minister. Later, Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patel also said that he has no problem in supporting Shinde. Whatever decision Uddhav Thackeray takes is acceptable.

There is a coalition government of Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP in Maharashtra. Meanwhile, senior Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde has revolted. Shinde is in Guwahati with around 40 Shiv Sena MLAs and is calling his party the real Shiv Sena.

Before meeting Pawar, the Chief Minister addressed the people of the state. He said he was ready to resign if the rebel MLAs told him that he did not want to be seen as the chief minister.

Chief Minister Thackeray said- Why are you giving statements from Surat and other places? Come to me and tell me that I am not able to handle the posts of Chief Minister and Shiv Sena President. I will resign immediately. I will prepare my resignation and you can come and take me to the Raj Bhavan.

He said that any Shiv Sainik would be happy to see his successor on the Chief Minister’s post. Thackeray said he took over as the chief minister despite being inexperienced on the suggestion of Nationalist Congress Party president Sharad Pawar.
