Prime Minister Modi is on a two-day visit to Gujarat. Under the Gujarat Gaurav Abhiyan, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various railway development works worth Rs 16,000 crore from Vadodara. One of these works is the Ahmedabad-Botad train. Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the Ahmedabad-Botad train on 18 June.

The Ahmedabad-Botad train runs from Gandhigram Railway Station in Ahmedabad to Botad Junction. This train is closed for the last five years. The work of gauge conversion of this train has been started. All three started today after converting the rail route from meter gauge to broad gauge.

Commuters of Bhavnagar, Botad and Ahmedabad will benefit a lot from this train with the start of Ahmedabad-Botad train. Through this train the distance from Bhavnagar to Ahmedabad will be reduced to 34 km. Apart from this, due to the stoppage of stations like Dholka, Aranez etc. between Botad and Ahmedabad, passengers of this station area will no longer have to travel at higher fares than private vehicles.

This train departs from Gandhigram station in Ahmedabad. You will reach Botad via Sarangpur and after leaving Botad will stop at these stations.
