Barmer is the hottest in Rajasthan, many cities are burning like a furnace

Jaipur, May 13 (H.S.). The heat wave in Rajasthan will continue on Friday as well. Earlier on Thursday, Barmer, Jaisalmer, Sri Ganganagar, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Jalore started heating like furnace. In Barmer, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and Ajmer, the heat broke the record of previous years. For the first time this season in Barmer, the mercury was measured above 48 degrees Celsius. Udaipur, the city of lakes, has also experienced the strongest heat in May after three years. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for Barmer, Jaisalmer, Sri Ganganagar, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Jalore.

As soon as the sun god came out on Friday morning, the rays of the sun made him realize how the whole day would pass. Thunderstorms of hot air started blowing in many cities from 8 o’clock in the morning. The roads became deserted early in the morning. The high-speed hot wind imprisoned people in their homes. In Pilani, Barmer, Jaisalmer, Phalodi, Bikaner, Nagaur, Dholpur and Hanumangarh, hot air disturbed the general public. The temperature has gone up to 6 degree Celsius above normal in many places in these cities. Meteorologists have predicted even more severe heat and heat wave conditions in these areas for the next two days.

According to the Meteorological Department, there were 6 cities in the state where the temperature was between 43 and 45 degree Celsius. In all the remaining cities, the mercury remained above 45 degree Celsius. Ajmer, Bhilwara, Jaipur, Kota, Bundi, Barmer, Jodhpur, Dholpur, Jalore, Sirohi and Karauli experienced scorching heat during the day as well as at night with the minimum temperature hovering above 30 degree Celsius.

According to the Meteorological Center Jaipur, the mercury remained above 5 degrees above normal in Sriganganagar, Bikaner, Barmer. In Kota, Chittorgarh, Jaisalmer, four in Ajmer, Jaipur, Bhilwara, Sikar, Udaipur, the mercury remained above normal by three degrees Celsius. The temperature in Pilani was recorded at 6.7 degrees Celsius above normal.

Jaipur Meteorological Center Director Radhey Shyam Sharma said that at present there is a period of strong heat wave in the state. On May 13 and 14, the effect of heat will be more intense in many areas of Rajasthan. Strong hot wind will blow. In many places the mercury can remain between 46 to 48 degree Celsius. In view of this, a red alert has been issued for the districts of Sri Ganganagar, Bikaner, Barmer, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur and Jalore. Yellow alert has been issued for Tonk, Jhunjhunu, Baran, Jhalawar, Dungarpur, Banswara, Bundi, Kota, Nagaur, Hanumangarh districts and Orange for Bhilwara, Ajmer, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Karauli, Dholpur, Sawai Madhopur, Sirohi districts. He told that a western disturbance will be active on May 15. Its effect will be seen in the state from May 16 and there will be a drop in temperature by 2-3 degree Celsius.
