Muslim Rashtriya Manch has given a big statement in New Delhi today. Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) appealed to all the Muslims of the country that respecting the statement made by Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat regarding 142 crore people in the national interest, Muslims should also show a big heart and take a pledge to take India on the path of development.
MRM's national convener and media in-charge Shahid Saeed said that the courts of the country are supreme but disputed religious places should be resolved through dialogue. This will maintain the unity, integrity, harmony, brotherhood and reconciliation of the country and there will be no mutual animosity. Hence, the forum's appeal is that wherever there is a dispute going on between two parties in the court, if both the parties do an "out of court settlement" through mutual dialogue, then it will be better for any better society.
Big statement on Kashi, Mathura and Sambhal
The national convenor board of the forum declared that while restoring the historic places of worship of Hindus through dialogue, the disputed structures built in places like Kashi, Mathura and Sambhal should be supported and handed over to the Hindu community through dialogue. Along with this, the forum said that those mosques where Namaaz is not being offered for some reason or which are deserted, should be handed over to Muslims so that they can re-establish and populate them.
Idolatry is not permissible in Islam
On the basis of Islamic principles, the forum made it clear that idolatry is not allowed in Islam. Offering namaz in mosques where broken idols have been found or in places where there is historical, social or direct evidence of a temple is against Islamic principles and it is an impure place for namaz. Namaz is not accepted at such a place. Citing the Quran and Hadith, the forum said that building a mosque on forcibly occupied land is against the principles of Islam.
Support from many Muslim organizations
The forum has a big program in Lucknow on January 4. Just before that, on Friday morning, the forum held an online meeting to discuss and decide the agenda for the Lucknow meeting. People from 70 places including 20 states and 6 union territories joined the forum's meeting. The meeting was chaired by the Muslim Rashtriya Manch, in which many small and big Muslim organizations and their leaders from across the country participated.
Representatives of Women Intellectual Group, Sufi Shah Malang Organization, Youth Education and Madrasa Institute, World Peace Council, Bharat First, Hindustan First Hindustani Best, Gau Seva Samiti, Environment and Public Life Protection Institute, Jamiat Himayatul Islam, Kashmiri Tahaffuz Organization and Kashmir Seva Sangh were present in this historic meeting. All the national conveners, state conveners and co-conveners of the forum participated in this meeting and supported the proposals of the forum. All the speakers proposed to hand over the disputed places of worship to the Hindu community, following Islamic teachings and principles of brotherhood.
Forum's initiative on these sensitive issues
- On the basis of historical evidence, traditional and direct evidence, and evidence found during excavations, the disputed sites should be handed over to the Hindu community.
- Muslims should be appealed to follow Islamic principles and not to offer prayers at places which are disputed or built by demolishing other religious places.
- The government should be asked to restore the disputed sites through constitutional measures.
- If the problem cannot be resolved through dialogue or talks with the government, then the court's decision should be supreme. Just as the court's decision in the Ayodhya case was universally accepted.
- In Islam, construction of a mosque is considered legitimate only if it is on undisputed land, which has been Waqf (donated) by some person or organization.
- Waqf means that the land is completely dedicated for the worship of Allah and there is no dispute, forcible occupation or illegal action on it.
- The importance of Waqf land for a mosque is because, according to Islamic teachings, a place of worship of Allah must be established on pure and just grounds.
- If the land is disputed or has been built by snatching it from someone, then that mosque will not be considered correct according to Islamic belief.
- In Islam, Mosque is called the house of Allah, so it is the responsibility of every Muslim to establish it in a pure and proper manner.
Hindus and Muslims are united by their ancestors, traditions and civilizations
Thakur Raja Rais, a member of the Manch, said, "Through the campaign "Aao Jaadoon Se Judo", the Manch has tried to spread the message that the Hindus and Muslims of India are united by their ancestors, traditions and civilizations. The Manch believes that even though the religions are different, the soil of India connects both the communities with a common history and tradition. Our ancestors, castes, clans, traditions, languages etc. were, are and will remain Hindustani in essence."
