The Allahabad High Court has taken strict action against the acting principal and manager of Hitkari Kisan Inter College, Sakauti Tanda. Justice Saurabh Shyam Shamsheri summoned both individuals in a case related to the school’s management committee.
During the hearing, the judge asked the acting principal to recite a poem, but he failed to do so. When asked about the date of Hindi Diwas, he could not provide an answer. This raised serious concerns regarding his qualifications. Additionally, both the acting principal and manager were fined ₹10,000 each for submitting a false affidavit in court.
Background of the Case
The controversy began when school spokespersons Sanjay Kumar and Naveen Kumar were suspended by the District School Inspector for failing to perform Kanwar duty. After submitting their replies, they were reinstated by the District School Inspector.
However, acting principal Anil Kumar Tripathi and manager Rajkumar opposed this decision. They approached the High Court and filed a petition against the reinstatement order. Along with the petition, they also submitted an affidavit.
High Court’s Strict Stand on False Affidavit
The affidavit submitted by the acting principal and manager claimed that they had personally signed it in Prayagraj. However, the court later discovered that neither of them had actually traveled to Prayagraj on the day of submission. This led to the court summoning them for presenting false information.
When the acting principal appeared in court on Tuesday, the judge tested his basic knowledge by asking him to recite a poem and state the date of Hindi Diwas. Upon failing both questions, his qualifications were brought into question. The principal later apologized in court, after which the court allowed him to leave.
The High Court imposed a fine of ₹10,000 on both the acting principal and manager, which they must pay within 10 days. If the fine is not deposited on time, the oath commissioner of the management committee will take further legal action as per court orders.
