Mahashivratri 2025 Jala Abhishekam Date and Time: The Mahashivratri fast is currently being observed on 26 February i.e. today. According to the sages of astrology, on Mahashivratri, while water is being poured, one should chant mantras and do Jalabhishek. On this day Jalabhishek or Rudrabhishek are performed only in the auspicious time. Jala Abhishekam Mantra
The foremost mantra for Shankar and Shiva is, Om Namah Shivay. Hence, chant Lords mantra while doing the Jalabhishek. Also chant
Om Tryambakam Yajamahe Sugandhi Pushtivardhanam Urvarukamiva Bandhananammrityormukshiya Mamritat.
It is believed that chanting these mantras during Mahashivratri Jalabhishek will help improve your finances. Om Namo Bhagwate Namah and Om Tatpurushaya Vidmahe Mahadevaya Dhimhitannno Rudrah Prachodayat. This voiceless engraving on Lord Shiva's idol is said to be the most powerful of all.
Good time for Jalabhishek from morning till night
And today on Mahashivratri, it will be good to offer water from 6:47 am to 9:42 am. After this, the good time for Jalabhishek will be in the afternoon from 11:06 am to 12:35 pm. In such a scenario water can also be offered to Lord Shiva during this time.
After this, he can do Jalabhishek like this from 3:25 pm to 6:08 pm. The final good time on Mahashivratri will start at 8:54 pm and will end at 12:01 am.
