There is a Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj next year. Devotees coming to take a holy dip in the Maha Kumbh are expected to reach Ayodhya to have darshan of Ram Lalla. According to the Ayodhya Municipal Corporation, about 2.5 crore devotees are expected to come to the city between January 13 and February 12. 

About 10 percent of devotees can have darshan of Ramlala

Municipal officials also expect around three to five lakh devotees to visit Ayodhya on New Year's Day. Ayodhya Mayor Girish Pati Tripathi said on Sunday, "We expect that around 10 percent of the devotees who come to the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj will come to Ayodhya to have darshan of Lord Ram." 

 2.5 to 3 crore devotees can come to Ayodhya 

Along with this, he said, 'Since 25 crore people are expected to come to Maha Kumbh, we believe that 2.5 to 3 crore devotees will come to Ayodhya in the period from Paush Purnima (13 January 2025) to Maghi Purnima (12 February).' 

All arrangements made

City Mayor Girish Pati Tripathi said that currently 1.5 to 2 lakh people are visiting Ayodhya daily. He said that on New Year's Day (January 1), 3 to 5 lakh people will visit the city. The mayor said that all arrangements have been made to handle the crowd of devotees. 

Arrangements made to protect from cold

When asked about the steps taken in view of the cold weather conditions in the region, Tripathi said a proposal to set up a tent city (in Ayodhya) with a capacity to accommodate five thousand people has been sent to the tourism department. He said, 'Night shelters have been set up at many places and arrangements for bonfires have been made. So, we hope that we will be able to face the challenges of the cold weather.'

Maha Kumbh from 13 January to 26 February

Let us tell you that Maha Kumbh-2025 will be held in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh from January 13 to February 26. Giving details about Maha Kumbh, Ashutosh Varshney, convener of 'Ram Naam Bank' of Prayagraj, said that bathing is the most important ritual in the Maha Kumbh Mela. He said that lakhs of pilgrims come together at the Triveni Sangam (confluence of rivers) to participate in this holy practice. 

Darshan of Ramlala after taking a dip in the Ganga

Varshneya said that apart from the bathing ritual, pilgrims also perform puja on the banks of the Ganga. He said, 'If a devotee gets the opportunity to have darshan of Lord Ram in Ayodhya after taking a dip in the Ganga during the Maha Kumbh period, it will definitely be an extra divine moment for him.'
