Beirut: 11 people were killed in an Israeli airstrike on the outskirts of the Syrian capital Damascus. A war monitoring organization has given information about this. Israel has been targeting Syrian weapons and military infrastructure even after the ouster of former President Bashar al-Assad from power. The British monitoring group 'Syrian Observatory for Human Rights' said that the airstrike targeted Assad's army's weapons depot near the industrial city of Adra, northeast of the capital.

Israel did not issue a statement

The monitoring group said the attack killed at least 11 people, mostly civilians. Beirut-based pan-Arab Al-Mayadeen TV also reported the airstrike but put the death toll at only six. The Israeli military did not comment on the airstrike on Sunday.

Israel Air Strikes In Syria

Israel must stop attacks

Meanwhile, Syrian rebels who ousted Assad from power in early December have demanded that Israel stop its air strikes. On the other hand, Turkish-backed Syrian rebels attacked near the strategic northern border town of Kobani, which is under the control of the Kurdish-led 'Syrian Democratic Forces' (SDF) after weeks of clashes.

Mass grave found near Homs

The SDF shared a video of a rocket attack it said destroyed a radar system south of the city of Manbij, which the Turkmen-backed group captured earlier this month. Meanwhile, Syrian state media said a mass grave had been found near Homs, the third-largest city.
