Pant has now become the first player in world cricket to have a record of playing 2 half-century innings in Test cricket in 30 or less balls. Pant played an innings of 61 runs in 33 balls in the Sydney Test match in which he also hit 4 sixes along with 6 fours and during this his strike rate was 184.85. Pant became the second player to score at least 50 runs in Australia

It is not an easy task for any batsman to score runs quickly in Tests in Australia, while Pant, with his 61-run innings, has included himself in a list which earlier included the names of David Warner and Adam Gilchrist. Pant has now become the second fastest player to score at least 50 runs in Australia.
