Following rallies held in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) on Kashmir Solidarity Day, security forces in Jammu and Kashmir are on high alert. Intelligence reports suggest that terrorist groups are attempting to revive militancy in the region. To counter infiltration attempts, security measures have been intensified from the Line of Control (LoC) to the international border.
Intelligence Reports Indicate Increased Terrorist Activity
According to security sources, intelligence inputs indicate that six terrorist launch pads, with more than 150 trained militants, have been activated in Neelam Valley (PoK), Furkian Gali, and Krishna Valley, close to the LoC. These launch pads became operational after the Kashmir Solidarity Day rallies in PoK, and militants have been instructed to make infiltration attempts to destabilize Jammu and Kashmir. Additionally, there are reports that terrorists plan to attack Indian military posts along the LoC.
Tightened Security Across Jammu and Kashmir
Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir have made significant strides in eliminating terrorism and dismantling its ecosystem. However, Pakistan continues to change its strategy in an attempt to keep the region unstable. Authorities are confident that these new security measures will prevent militants from regaining a foothold.
To prevent any infiltration or terrorist activity, security has been strengthened across the international border, LoC, and within towns and cities.
