Summer Health Tips: Most fruits and juices are consumed in summer. Many fruits dry up or rot when kept in the refrigerator. That’s why they should be thrown away. We often buy fresh fruits and vegetables in bulk. But, doing so increases the chances of fresh fruits rotting faster than normal. Here are some smart hacks to keep fresh fruits from spoiling. By doing this the shelf life of fruits will also increase.
Citrus fruits have a better shelf life than other fruits, it is best to keep them open in a cool and dry place. Keeping them in the fridge can reduce the amount of water in them to some extent. However, it helps in maintaining the freshness for up to a month.
Bananas generally ripen quicker than other fruits. That’s why they rot immediately. Bananas stay good for a maximum of 4-5 days. And then it starts rotting. In such a time, to increase the shelf life of bananas, cover the bunches of bananas and keep them in a dry place in the refrigerator, this will increase the shelf life of bananas. If you do not want to eat bananas immediately, you can also buy raw green bananas.
