Increasing infection with H3N2 influenza

H3N2 is a viral flu and this virus is a mutation of H1N1 virus. Viral H3N2 influenza has so far claimed two lives in the country. There has been one death each in Karnataka and Haryana. Doctor. Dr. Randeep Guleria has given this information in a conference organized by the Academy of Medical Sciences (AMS) in Nagpur.

Is it mandatory to wear mask again?

Doctor. Guleria said that there is a need to use masks, because there is a contagious infection like Kovid. This infection spreads through cough. That’s why we should use mask, wash hands regularly and follow social distancing. Patients of diabetes and other serious diseases need to be more careful, as they are more prone to infection.

Vaccination should be emphasized

Doctor. Another option, Guleria said, is to isolate high-risk patients. Elderly and other sick people need separate treatment and monitoring. Getting a flu shot is also a solution. The flu jab comes out as a new vaccine every year, and this vaccine also covers influenza A and B and their subtypes.
