However, over time, the film gained a cult following. Now, in 2025, it has been re-released in theaters for Valentine’s Day, creating history with its record-breaking earnings.
A Remarkable Box Office Comeback
Within just five days of its re-release, Sanam Teri Kasam has surpassed many new Bollywood films in box office collections. The film had a phenomenal start, grossing approximately ₹15.50 crores in its opening weekend. This marks the highest opening weekend for a Bollywood re-release.
On Tuesday, the film continued its strong run, outperforming recent releases like Deva and Loveyaapa. In just four days, the total earnings reached ₹18.50 crores. According to media reports, the film earned an additional ₹2.85 crores on its fifth day, bringing its total collection to ₹21 crores—more than double its original lifetime earnings.
Valentine’s Week Box Office Expectations
Given its strong performance, Sanam Teri Kasam is expected to collect between ₹27-30 crores by the end of Valentine’s Week. However, its momentum might be challenged with the release of Vicky Kaushal’s Chhava on February 14. The coming days will determine if Sanam Teri Kasam can maintain its box office dominance.

The film, produced by Deepak Mukut, has a reported budget of ₹25 crores. Apart from Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane, the film features Anurag Sinha, Manish Chaudhary, and Murali Sharma in key roles.
