Kumbh Mela 2025: Starting January 13, the Uttar Pradesh government will implement these types of arrangements. During the mega event, the state administration predicts that there will be roughly 40 crores of attendees and 25 lakh vehicles in the region. As a result, traffic is expected to be a problem. The state government with the help of the district administration have outlined measures that include employing two dozen electric buses, installing 90 parking lots and developing a mobile application for the event. The government also released several traffic guidelines along with a parking advisory for pedestrians which were aided by a traffic advisory clarifying which roads, and parking areas to avoid.

The MahaKumbh is a historically religious gathering of Hindu followers every 12 years at three locations along the confluence of rivers Ganges, Yamuna and Saraswati located in Prayagraj. The 2025 event will start from January 13 until February 26.

The police issued a recommendation for the use of specific roads by pickup vehicles intending to travel to the city starting Monday (January 13) for the timespan of the festival. Local officials developed a transportation policy which lays out directions vehicles should take to reach the expo from Mirzapur, Rewa/Banda, Kanpur, Jaunpur, Varanasi, Lucknow and more, to ensure there is no unnecessary delays.

Mahakumbh: FASTags are being used for proficient Parking

Saying that all parking around the site of the Mahakumbh fair would make use of the FASTags serving the purpose of streamlining the parking during the event. Mahakumbh 2025: E-buses for Pilgrims

The UP administration claims in the meantime that it is also planning for the devotees who will visit the Mahakumbh in 2025 through electric vehicles, the charging of which will be done in designated parking sites. These electric buses of 12 meter length can be travelled with more than breaching the distance of 200km on a single charge and these electric buses are going to be used at least on about six routes for the purpose of this festival.

In the meantime, as part of a diverse Police force headed by (IGP) Inspector General of Police by the name of Tarun Gaba have reported the introduction of new security features so that there wouldn’t be any heinous incidents happening while there is a gathering of huge number of people.
