The 150-year-old Aligarh Numaish, an annual historical exhibition in Aligarh district, Uttar Pradesh, is attracting thousands of visitors this year. The highlight of Numaish 2025 is a fish tunnel, introduced for the first time, inspired by Dubai’s famous aquatic attractions. This new addition has become a major tourist attraction, drawing locals and visitors alike.

A Fish Tunnel Featuring Exotic Species from 25 Countries

The fish tunnel offers visitors an underwater-like experience, showcasing exotic fish species from 25 countries. Inside the tunnel, some fish are as long as 5 feet, creating a mesmerizing aquatic scene. Designed by a renowned Chennai-based firm, the tunnel has been constructed with advanced technology and strict security measures to ensure safety.

There are six separate tunnels, each completely water-filled, where fish ranging from one inch to five feet can be seen swimming. The setup provides an immersive oceanic feel, making it one of the biggest attractions of this year's fair.

What Makes the Fish Tunnel Special?

This six-sectioned tunnel is a blend of foreign technology and modern design. It features rare fish species such as:

  • Orabama from the Amazon River
  • Alligator Gar from Thailand
  • Koikay from the Nokia River

Additionally, visitors can experience Kashmir-like icy temperatures inside the tunnel, adding another layer of excitement. Notably, this is India’s largest underwater tunnel, with previous versions successfully installed in Delhi, Chennai, and Mumbai.

With over 100 different fish species, this tunnel brings a slice of the ocean to Aligarh, offering an unforgettable experience.

Affordable Entry for an Exciting Experience

According to Satish Kumar, the manager of the fish tunnel, this attraction is designed using international technology and designs. The entry fee is just ₹100, making it an affordable yet thrilling experience.

  • Ticket Price: ₹100 for all visitors above 3 years
  • Children below 3 years: Free entry

Since all the fish showcased in the tunnel are foreign and imported, visitors no longer need to travel abroad to witness such exotic aquatic life.

A Dubai-Like Experience in India

For those fascinated by marine life, there is no need to visit Dubai or other international destinations. The Aligarh Numaish fish tunnel brings marine wonders from Malaysia, Singapore, and the Amazon River to India. The exhibition is open 24/7, allowing visitors to explore at their convenience.

The overwhelming response from visitors highlights the tunnel’s popularity. Many are leaving with words of appreciation, making it one of the most talked-about attractions at Aligarh Numaish 2025.
